Talking Hot Dang! Down 9 lbs!

Well it is the end of week 1 of induction and I am officially 9 lbs lighter! I can actually feel it in my clothes already. Way cool!

I have discovered that my best friend is my grill. It makes the different food so much better. I am having trouble getting all my carbs in though. I swear that I cannot stand one more salad. I think the problem is that while I loved salad in the past I always used French or Catalina dressing and pilled on the croutons and three bean salad.

Does anyone have a low carb recipe for French dressing or ketchup?

Anyone have any suggestions to make the salads more interesting? Oh and I really don't care for cheese.

Congratulations!!

Certain members of my family who shall remain nameless were about fed up with salads by the end of Induction, too. The great thing is, you don't have to just live on salads! There are all kinds of veggies that are super choices, and as you start upping your carb intake they really help to up the carbs a little. If you don't have a handy-dandy pocket carb counter, you might want to get one.

Also, if you like berries and have access to them (I know, bad time of year for them) they're very low-carb, high-fiber and high-nutrient. Strawberries are the lowest in carbs, but raspberries and blackberries are good, too. There's no way I could get to 30 carbs a day without my nuts and berries.

AWESOME!!! You have a really great metabolic resistance, some people only lose 3-5 lbs in first week (ahem-me) So that is friggin great! About the ketchup deal, atkins now sells a product in the grocery store that is great! Try it out and keep losing.
