Default hiking and fatloss

I hike Sat and Sun about 5 miles each day. I do it because I love hiking but would like to make it fat burning as well.

I tried eating a high fat meal an hour before I hiked and took 1000mg L-Carn. It was the first time I've ever gotten hungry on a hike. It that a good sign? Also what is the best meal/ supplements to take in this case.

(I can't take stimulants I have a heart murmur).

thanks

I like coconut oil before hiking, preferably in a hot, (lc) choclatey drink. Tt's great for energy and facilitates using fat for fuel. I don't know if being hungry is a good sign...

To increase the benefits of your hike maybe add hiking poles (to include more of your body) or add a weighted backpack, make sure it is built ofr the weight you put in it, and increase the intensity of the hike at certain spots - interval training.

take care,
Meg
