AnniePie ~ Give that beautiful girl a big hug for me! I'm so happy for you and for the parents. You will absolutely love being a grandmother.

TerryLynne: I decided just to indulge my cravings this weekend and get it all out of my system. So I'm starting this week with new determination. I have also stopped using the bars, but I do have the shakes as my morning meal. Your support is so helpful.

TexLady - my 15 yr old son has an atkins shake everyday at school for lunch. He's lost 53 pounds in 15 wks YAHOO! 298/245/??? The shakes have splenda, but no sugar alcohols as far as I can tell. They don't bother me either. Best wishes on getting "clean" it is SO worth it. It makes life so much easier...

Terry, how great for your son! I'm trying to convince my son to go on it too. Bought him the book. I put the shakes in the freezer until they just start to freeze. MMmmm.

You're so right about staying clean. I'm reminded of the old saying "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS" In fact I'm gonna add that to my signature.

I've lost two pounds! I've been hyper since I weighed.

Congrats, Annie! I hope mom and baby are all fine and healthy!

Terry & Tex: I've had problems with the bars/lc chocolates in the past, also. Not eating them has deffinately helped my weightloss. And by considering them a treat for occationaly or for emergencies it put them in the right perspective. Lately, I've been drinking the shakes though, and they don't make me crave or spike my blood sugar. I've been drinking the EAS carb control ones in Chocolate fudge, and it tastes like I imagine chocolate milk tastes like.

Loosers: Congratulations!

Eveyrone else: Wait it out, the woosh fairy is coming!

TexLady - How long do you leave the shakes in the freezer, I tried it once but forgot it and it totally froze, thankfully it didn't explode Slushy shakes sound wonderful!

CindyLynn - "And by considering them a treat for occationaly or for emergencies it put them in the right perspective. " That's a great way to look at it! Thanks for the idea.

Can you believe I forgot to weigh in this morning? I've been trying so hard to stay away from the scale. Worked too good! I would guess that nothing has changed. I am guilty of eating those LC bars and suspect that they may indeed be a problem! I have MAJOR cravings. After a bar, I'm fine. That IS a problem! I've had SO much on my plate, I was letting it slide. I'm gonna try to kick the bars. Today is the first day of NO LC bars! How sad is that? I don't cheat with REAL junk, Just LC junk!
I'll have to weigh in tomorrow.

Everyone is doing GREAT!

You all HAVE to try this recipe!!! I made it for dinner tonight and it is so good!!!! Beware!!! You will love it!! All my kids even loved it. crust sounds weird, but it comes out wonderful!

Recipe: LowCarb Pizza

Ingredients:
---------------------------------------
4-oz cream cheese
3 eggs
1/3 cup cream
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups mixed italian cheese
1/2 cup low carb pizza sauce
1 cup of mozzarella cheese

pizza toppings of your choice:

pepperoni
ham
onion
green pepper
mushrooms
bacon
browned sausage or seasoned ground beef
additional parmasan cheese for topping

How To Prepare:
---------------------------------------
Beat together cream cheese and eggs til smooth. Add
cream, parm cheese, and spices and mix again.
Spray 9x13 casserole dish with PAM. Sprinkle 2 cups italian cheeses into dish and pour egg mixture over it. Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Spread on pizza sauce, sprinkle 1 cup of mozarella cheese and pile with your favorite toppings. Then sprinkle with more parm cheese. Return to oven and bake til bubbly and browning.Allow to stand 10 minutes before cutting.
For a crispier crust, bake at 400 for 20 min then broil it for about another 3-4 min. Then add the cheese and toppings, cooked again at 400 for about 15 min, then put it under the broiler again for another 4 min to crisp up the pepperoni and veggies...

P.S. I used Ragu old world style spagehtti sauce only 6net carbs for 1/2 cup (8-2fiber) instead of pizza sauce. and monteray jack cheese and parmesean cheese because I didn't have the kind they called for and it was still great!

Terry, that pizza is the best. I usually make 2 at a time. One for dinner (with all the toppings) and the other one with just cheese, cut it into 6 pieces and have 3 lunches for my childrens lunch. My daughter is a freshman and she is not embarrassed to eat it!

Zuleka, so happy to hear you got to spend time with your daughter on her birthday.

By the way I tried the pumpkin cheesecake recipe over the weekend. The family voted that it wasn't sweet enough and needed more of the spices. We will be bringing the pudding with us on Thanksgiving it is soo much better.

Hey Annie, where are you? At some point you are going to have to put down that love bundle. lol I'm sure you are smooching her all up. Where are the pictures? Enjoy those special moments. We are thinking and praying for all of you XO

Started exercising again and had a good day food wise. Once you start having carbs it is soooo hard to stop. Is that considered a "carb addict"?

Wishing everyone a great day filled with blessings, Maureen

Heather I will join you on not eating L/C bars. I keep telling myself not today and then i find I am running to the store to get them just like a junkie. That is sooooo sad. Funny thing is when I was eating carbs I very rarely ate dessert or something sweet , I just filled up on breads and potatoes and other bad stuff. So no more for at least the next week--more veggies for me.

"Heather I will join you on not eating L/C bars. I keep telling myself not today and then i find I am running to the store to get them just like a junkie"
Angie- That's great! I sure could use a partner. I told my husband yesterday that I had to stop eating them because I was craving them. Like a man he says "so what's wrong with that?" I said one of the great things about Atkins is that you DON'T HAVE CRAVINGS! He just doesn't see the big deal if ALL I am craving is a LC bar. I probably would let it slide, but now, I'm not sure if it hasn't caused me to stop loosing on the scale. I just can't be sure. It could be my body needs a break, it could be that I have upped my weights and I am holding more water. I feel like a water buffalo as it is! Well, Hubby keeps talking and wont let me type anymore so Later!!!!!!!
