Smile New & What a SuperTerrific Site for Support!

WOW!
You cannot believe how unbelievably excited I am to have "stumbled" upon this Website!
It's like a gift from the Really Big Guy from Above!!

I'm a 40 year old Mother of 3 (dd 16, ds 13 & ds 1 & still nursing) married for 18 years & am in dire need of dropping some poundage secondary to my family's history of IDDM & Arthritis.

Presently, I am a SAHM for the most part teaching clinicals for our local Community College Nursing Program & moonlighting perhaps 2-3 times a month in a High Acuity Critical Care Unit. I am a Registered Nurse having graduated in 1982 with my Associate's degree & advancing through getting several degrees added. I love Critical Care Nursing & am Certified (CCRN) I also teach Advanced Cardiac Life Support Courses with others of course (we're a team).

I have heard so many successful stories of this Life plan & can't wait to hum in with the chorus of those that are counting their carbohydrates also!

However, WARNING, WARNING I AM A TRUE BLUE CARBOHYDRATE ADDICT!

I look forward to all the moments of helpful "downsizing" advice that we can offer each other!

Welcome to lowcarb.ca Queen!

If we weren't all carb addicts, we'd have no reason to be here. Except of course for the charming company!

Hey queen!

I should have read this first before I read your journal, LOL!!

We have more in common than I realized, except that I am not nursing!!

I'm with you, glad to have found this place, it's just what I need!

Welcome to the forum! I am so blessed that I found this place too. Whenever I feel discouraged, I can always come here and find a cheerful and supportive word from people that are in the same boat that I am. Tired of the yo-yo low fat, gain it back diet treadmill. I truly believe this is the way I'm going to live. No more diets!! No more starvation!!

The cravings DO go away. I went out to eat with my friend and her two little girls the other day. They all had all kinds of carbohydrate filled foods and my chicken salad came with garlic bread, but the thought of eating it didn't even cross my mind. As soon as it came to the table I just gave it to the kids.

Keep it up, you'll feel sooo much better

Raven

Welcome Rictoria...we hope that The Lowcarber Forum becomes your new addiction, to replace your card addiction!!!

You'll be busy for awhile with all the great reading here. Keeping a journal does help people stay on track. It's great reading them as well as it helps with menu planning.

Post often, and let us know how you're doing.
