Default Ruby Tuesday gets on board

My brother is a GM for Ruby's and they're rolling out a new menu next Tuesday that includes a ton of new low carb items. They've revamped their side dishes to include creamed spinich, mashed cauliflower and bbq pork crisps (hey we know what they are but it sounds better hehe)

They've also added a whole section of wraps which use low carb whole grain tortillas with everything from cajun chicken to burger wraps. I got to sample the chicken today and it was great. There's also a new selection of steaks and other specialities that have been revamped to fit the program. They're also going to have a low carb cheesecake for desert.

I've got a copy of the new menu, and I'll try and get it scanned and posted sometime today or tomorrow.

He said that the CEO is going to be on the Today show sometime around the 25th to launch the promotion.

So if you go out before next week, be sure and ask if they have any of the new stuff available. All the stores should be beginning to offer some of the items now.

By the way, I have seen new low carb items at Safeway today. Atkins saucecs. This is in addition to low carb breads and low carb ice creams.

That sounds great! There are several Ruby Tuesday's in my area. We should all be sure to patronize them!

I have noticed also there have been alot of ads on TV and radio where they tout low-carb stuff. There was an commerical for KFC on TV last night that advertised their chicken as being "only 11 grams of carbs".

That's great news about Ruby Tuesday. I hope they roll it out nationwide and not just in a test area.

It's the addition of side dishes and appetizers that really helps LCers...

We regret that we are unable to provide nutritional information about our menu. Federal laws strictly regulate nutritional claims, and because there are differences in the menus at more than 500 Ruby Tuesdays across the United States, and because guests ask for changes and substitutions in condiments, toppings, and side dishes, it is impossible for us to offer consistently accurate information. We value you as a guest and hope you understand the reasons for our policy.

I'm looking forward to their new lc menu items, anyhow. At least they are honest. This kind of makes me wonder about the nutritional info on other restaurants' webpages....

YEAH! I love Ruby's and can't wait to try the LC cheesecake. I usually order the New Orleans talapia with broccoli on the side there now. That's Great news!

I am so jealous. I would love to eat out (gourmet foods that is). Does Ruby Tuesday happen to go by a different name on the west coast?

I have been eating there from time to time, they have a great salad bar. Only thing that I don't like is the boom box music that shows up way too loud.

I have never been to a Ruby Tuesdays but this sounds great and I will look for one to check it out.

The only question I have is if they dont list the Nutritional info for these new products what is the point?

Here is their website. I don't see any mention to low carb meals. It could be an experimental menu which will be available at few locations only.
