The Secret to Low Carb Success!: How to Get the Most Out of Your Low Carbohydrate Diet by Laura Richard

I was just browsing through Amazon and was going to order CALP to check it out when they also recommended this book. The reviews written by readers on Amazon rated it really well, but I figured I'd go to the folks in the know, we low-carbers!

So, if you did read it, would you recommend it?

I read it and found it useful.

I especially liked the way it reminded me that smaller is not neccessarily lighter. Learning to watch my body change and not worrying so much about the scale.

Just my opinion.

I liked it, it was very goal oriented, breaking down particular things that trip people up, such as artificial sweeteners, carb creep, and hidden carbs.
It's full of tips that have worked for other people, she visited a lot of forums to augment her own experience, it's sort of a course on low carbing for weight loss.
Since it's so focused on weight loss, it might be less useful for someone moving into maintenance, but I enjoyed it and I think it's a book I will lend to friends often.

I read it and really enjoyed it. It's written from the perspective of someone who spent a lot of time on low carb bulletin boards. It's real life advice from someone with real life experience. I'd recommend it. As a matter of fact, my Mom has my copy right now....

Good luck!
