I just went to their feedback page and weighed in on the issue (pun intended). Basically I said they were making a mistake and that low fat just lead to people eating more and thinking that it was okay. Low carb is more satisfying, more healthy and a truly innovative move for them. Go low carb!!

I expressed my opinions as well. I told them basically low-fat is doing nothing but making everyone in this country obese, and that although we really love Pizza Hut, there's not much point in dining there when the only thing we can eat is salad and pizza toppings.

I described for them a low-carb meat-lover's pizza. I also gave them my phone number and clicked 'yes' for a rep to call. I doubt they will, but if they do I'll give them an earful.

So, please, go low carb for us. You'll be glad you did.

Have you actually tried one of those crusts made with Wheat Protein Isolate? How was it? I tried a packaged mix flax meal pizza crust and it was NASTY, NASTY, NASTY! I would rather not eat pizza for "weeks, months, years" if that flax crust was the only alternative. I don't expect a soy crust (the other mix at Central Market) would be any better.

Depends on the word of mouth. If Pizza Hut made something with a good or even nondescript crust, I would go for it -- but they'd probably lose even more customers if they put out something like that horrible flaxmeal crust.

In fact, rather than knocking yourself out trying to get a large corporation like Pizza Hut to change their ways for an unproven market, why not try to convince your neighborhood mom-n-pop pizza parlor or local chain to test market a low-carb pizza first? They can use the business a lot more than The Hutt.

Interesting post this morning on some LC-related media:

http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...298#post1506298

Basically all the grain growers are freakin' out cause everyone's wising up to the fact that THEIR PRODUCE IS POISON!!! So if bakeries/pasta chains can get on the low-carb boat, surely Pizza Hut can do their bit for responsible eating
