Hi all...I'm new to this website, but have been living low-carb for about 2 years now. I weighed 279 lbs. when I started, and am now down to 215 lbs. However....I have been stuck at 215 lbs. for almost two months. Needless to say, it's getting really frustrating. With my weight loss, I've developed a pouch of horrible, hanging skin around my lower abdomen...looks like an apron. My question to all of you out there...has anyone had an abdomenoplasty? If you have, I would really appreciate you sharing your experiences, both good and bad. How much did it cost (insurance won't pay) were you pleased with the results? Permanent scars, etc.? Thanks!

Hi jrich,

An aquaintance of mine had it done several years ago. It did leave a permanent scar. I recall that Hazel AZ on ASDLC (the link to that news group is in the forum) had it done last year. Look for her posts, or search the archives to get in touch with her.

You never know though! Maybe the stall you are experiencing is allowing your body to catch up and get comfortable with your new weight.

Karen
