i know were supposed to stay away from hydrogenated oils but i cant find any salad dressings that dont have them... what do you guys do for salad dressing? is there any specific brand that uses an olive oil base instead of soybean oil or something?

Try this:
1 tablespoon of cider vinegar.
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
2 table spoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of water
a small pinch of mustard
2 teaspoons of sweetener.

Mix it all together and you have a classical French style salad dressing.

I use Newman's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar Dressing it has 150 cal, 16 grams of fat, 1 carb and 0 protein per 2 Tablespoons. Every grocery store has it that I have been to. As far as I know it's all natural. It does have under 1 gram of sugar but I think that so minimal that it doesn't matter.

P.S. It doesn't need to be refrigerated after opening so I carry it with me in a little container to restaurants.

I usually use Kraft's Bacon Ranch... I know that it is 1g Carb/ <1g sugar.... per 2Tbsp. and is very yummy...

My sister found a brand called "Kens" Not sure where she found it but 0 carbs 0 cals and I wasn't ever a Ceasar fan but it tasted pretty darn good. I'll ask her tonight where she picked it up from, Manny

Kens and Newmans Own are both sold at my local grocery store (Winn Dixie) and also at Publix grocery. Both brands have several dressings that are between 0 and 2 carbs per 2 tbsp which makes for a good variety. I like the Kraft (full fat, not lite) Roca Blue Cheese dressing too - only 1 carb per 2 tbsp! Yum!!
