Thumbs up Bryers Low Carb Ice Cream

Just tried the Bryers Low Carb Ice Cream in Strawberry flavor. Very good and Creamy. It is a very good value at $5.99 per 1/2 gallon. Plus 1/2 cup is 4 carbs. GREAT a must try. Also it is made with Splenda.

I just purchased and tried the strawberry. Much better than the Le Carb frozen dessert. This is real ice cream. Nice smooth texture, and those Breyer's flavorings - yum. But with the small amount of corn syrup added (probably about 1 reaspoon per 1/2 cup serving, I would guess) it definitely isn't for Induction or OWL. The corn syrup is probably necessary for it's texture, which is more like "real" ice cream than other low carb or sugar free desserts.

Definitely good, but know what you're getting into with the corn syrup (or maybe I should say know what's getting into you...)

(Edit) Oh, yes, and it cost only $2.98 for a half-gallon at WalMart. Cheaper than the LeCarb at $2.27 per pint.

Joan

I bought it a week or so ago, but haven't tried it yet. Until last night. It was so good, tasted just like real ice cream.

The corn syrup isn't an issue for me as I'm close to my goal wait, just maintaining. That and there's not really that much in it. Also, I only eat ice cream every once in a while, I was never a huge ice cream fan before.

Wink Breyers NEW LOW CARB ICE CREAM

I saw today that Breyers has a new ice cream made with Splenda: I had been buying the Atkins, but is fairly expensive. Same info: 4 net carbs per 1/2 cup: use Atkins chocolate syrup and a couple of peanuts, YUM

No new stats to report, just weighed last week, same again, but TOM is here.

Thumbs up Low carb ice cream

That's great to hear....I've also enjoyed partaking in the Klondike version of a low-carb chocolate pop, which is Carb-lite, sweetened with Splenda and it is 3 net carbs per pop. Not bad when you're wanting something a little different.

We tried the Breyer's strawberry low carb ice cream. A little goes a long way for a rich and creamy dessert. Spooned some in a crepe (recipe is listed in the forum) and topped with some fresh strawberries, sweetened with a bit of splenda....had dessert for company!!! Everyone loved them.
