Default Caution guys - female question

This is personal but here goes - I take many vitamins daily - recently started taking 3000 (? - whatever the units are) of Vit.C to help with bruising, also 2 of the 500 (?) of Chromium. I started both within the past 2 weeks. Since then, I have been extremely itchy "down there" and I'm almost certain that it's not a yeast infection - it's more on the skin all around there. Could the vitamins be irritating me through my urine, and if so, any suggestions (other than stopping the vitamins alltogether). Help - MAJOR discomfort!

Man, those itches are a nightmare! I can't think of anything worse that I've ever been through! Even natural childbirth 6 times isn't that bad! But seriously, I'd either stop taking the vitamins for a bit and see if it clears up. Then add them back, but less, and see what happens. If it doesn't clear up after a few days off them, I'd see a dr. We shouldn't try to self-diagnose yeast.

Good luck!

Ughh I have the same problem! I don't think its yeast either because it's the skin on the side. I'm not sure what doctor I would even see. Techically it's not the GYN's job, but I don't want to show that body part to the dermatologist!!! Let me know if you find anything out.

Remember that your GP / Family Doctor and even the dermatologist have seen EVERY body part and don't care about anything except treating the patient. Just close your eyes and drop your drawers and get the needed help.

Baking soda baths, calamine lotion, Lanacaine even spraying on Solarcaine might help. (Keep the spray on the skin, not the mucous membranes.
