It is late Sunday night and I'll do my final weigh-in for our September challenge on Monday, will post it here.

Maureen on behalf of all of us new friends, thanks for your constant encouragement and postings! You keep us accountable!

I'm not looking fwd to posting because for some reason, I am heavy right now. UGHGUGH. But will not give up.

Look for a new posting on Tuesday entitled, "A Fun October Challenge: 5-8# loss, measure weekly..."

How does that sound? We can explain it more in the body.
ok?
Annie

I guess this was the challenge to join, none of those lose 10-15 pounds in the next month groups for me. My weight loss has slowed down but it looks like I did lose 5 this month.

Good morning,

Annie, please do not give up. We need you. Your kind words are always uplifting. Let us encourage you this month. It's a new day, a new month and let's stay focused on getting healthy.

Susan, congratulations on meeting your Oct goal!

Fishie, awesome job!

Last night we did the basic pilate tape. It was great since they had a women showing modifications to what they were doing. My husband and daughter weren't crazy about it but I think we just don't like to work at it. Then we did the mile of the WAP. We enjoy doing that & my son likes it too. He loves the stretch band. So it was about 45 minutes of exercise as a family. Hopefully we can continue to exercise as a family.

I think that 7 lb weight gain during the week was due to me not drinking enough water. I had dropped down from 12-14 glasses to about 6. Last 3 days I have been drinking like crazy.

There is this fabulous recipe on the Atkins site called Mexican Chicken Salad. It is so beautiful in presentation and tastes great. Alot of ingredients & a little time consuming but it is worth it.

Happy Monday everyone!

Well, I'm not in the 150's and I have fluctuated from 160 to 162 all weekend and today I am at 161.5. I am pretty discouraged.... I hate weighing in on Mondays cause I know I have some water weight on Mondays due to the fact that I don't drink as much water on the weekends as I do during the week. I think I am going to weigh on Fridays ONLY. Weighing every days is driving me nuts and Mondays weigh in's are bad for me. I will report my Friday weigh ins on Monday if that's okay.

Today, I am eating:

B: seeds and cheese

L: Steak and salad

Exercise Goal for tonight: Run/Walk for 30 minutes, 15 minutes of kick boxing and Lower and Upper body weights. (Tomorrow night is Open house therefore I will not be able to work out)

Maureen: Your gain is probably just water weight. SF treats of any kind can cause high water gains so if you've been having those, just wait a couple of days and it will be gone. I'm glad to see that you still have a sense of humor going through all your going through. It's great that you are exercising as a family. That always strengthens the bond. You are already an inspiration to your kids. I'M ABSOLUTELY POSITITVE ABOUT THAT!!

Annie: Sorry to hear that you are frustrated with your weight loss too. You lost 6 pounds during this challenge so that's almost the max you should be losing every month. You are doing great! That's great news about your spine. Now you can really start exercising. Let's not jump the gun about me being in the 150's. Until it actually becomes a reality, then we can get excited. LOL!

Susan: Congrats to you! 8 lbs!!!!!!!! I DO BELIEVE YOU ARE THE WINNER FOR THIS MONTH!!! You're MUMs sound really beautiful. You are lucky to live in New England. I can only imagine those fall colors. We really don't have much of a change of season here in South Florida.

Karen: Sounds like your walking is progressing just fine especially having your heel pain. Just don't give it up. I hear people lose a ton of weight by walking everywhere.

Fishie: Congrats to you also!! YOU ARE OUR 2ND PLACE WINNER!!

My new weight seems to have fallen off... so I added it again. Denise, don't worry about when you weigh in. I think that's fine to weigh in on Friday. Who knows maybe we'll get crazy in the new challenge and weigh in on Thursday night (just kidding!!). I think we have all made progress this month. Your support has helped me so much! THANK YOU!!! I need to run to walmart again to get halloween costume makings for my son -- he wants to be Super Mario!

Denise, thank you for those kind words. I thought of you today. I did my pilate tape and then my 1 mile WAP tape. Hope someday I will be able to do 1/2 of what you do and won't need my inhaler. I really hope that you will stay with us on the new challenge. You inspire me to move more. My daughter wants to do the 2 mile WAP tonight. Just because I don't want her to show me up I will probably do it.

It was cool here this morning so I put on my jeans. First time since about May and they actually fit and I was still able to breath!! That was cool.

I messed up somewhat today. After my treatment I got take out from the chinese buffet. I actually got there before they were completely ready so I sat and waited about 10 minutes the whole time thinking is this a sign to leave. I knew I would need to confess here. I was really aware of everything that went into the container. No rice but definetly some no no's. I'm not upset at myself, it was good and I'm just moving on. I didn't even finish it all so I will tomorrow for lunch. I used to finish the whole container and go back the next day for more so it was a really good experience.

Hope you all have a great evening, Blessings,Maureen

On a positive note, from those that have checked in
- NO ONE HAS GAINED FROM THEIR STARTING WEIGHT.

Thanks to everyone for the fabulous month. Can you all believe we've already completed our first of **twelve??** challenges?

It has been a hoot! Isn't it amazing to see how we all have held each other accountable, and not wanted to cheat knowing we were checking in soon?

Denise I see no reason to change your weigh in days. Do what's best for you. You are now officially lighter than you were one month ago at this time. That's a great thing!

Fishie: WOO HOO! Congratulations friend!

Maureen: What are pilates? Am I on another planet or something? Inquiring minds want to know!

Karen: Good job! Wow, it is slow and steady, like what we hope for. Not something to lose fast and then gain it back with interest! Keep up your good work my friend.

Alex: Wow! Is that from all the bike riding? I would think you'd burn fat, but then gain muscle! You are a true inspiration. Serious! Congrats to you for your success!

Chyna, Corrine, Lynda, Debbi, Gemma: We miss you! You are welcome to join us on the next post I'll have up in a few minutes.

Well here goes my stats:

Annie - start - 185 ---- NEW!: 181--up2 pounds, for a total month's loss of 4 pounds. Met month's challenge, thank God!
Maureen - start - 249 ---- NEW!:245
Chyna - start - 201 ---- NEW!:
Fishie48 - start - 206 ---- NEW!:202
Denise - start - 162 ---- NEW!: 161.5
Karen - start - 241 ---- NEW!: 239
Lynda - start - 214 ---- NEW!:
Alex - start - 193 ---- NEW!: 189
Susan - start - 158 --- NEW!: 150
Skyedon - start - 195 ---- NEW!:
Gemma - start - 150 ---- NEW!:
Debbi - start - 176 ----NEW!:

Thanks everybody, and I don't know how to close posts. So now here goes a new thread, and let's make sure we stay friends, true to ourselves, and...let's NOT do the M&M challenge, ok?
Hugs to you ALL! Annie-Pie

Annie and Everyone! Awesome challenge. Our Miss Annie has started the new one! It's so cool! So come on over. See you there!

Denise - did you manage to get your walking in last night and kickboxing in last night? Have fun at open house tonight!

Maureen - good for you - doing pilates - that's a really good workout - i took a class once and I was so sore, but I guess that's a good thing!!! I'm glad your just moving on after gobbling a couple of bad chinese food items. You know it's probably not going to make any real difference and that's the way you should treat it!

Fishie!! Congrats on losing 5 pounds! that's great. YOu are really moving toward that goal.

HI Karen. 3 pounds is awesome! You are a winner in this challenge. We all are. I remember when I used to lf HIGH carb on the TOPS program. The "Loser of the Month" was usually a 3 pound loser. I think we see chunks dropping of during some period on others and get discouraged. For example, my friend Andrew at work lost over 8 pounds last week???!! What's UP with that???? Of course, he's 6'3" and started up pretty high. Anyway, steady to GOOD!

ALEX - big kuddos in your four pound loss. that's so wonderful!!!

See you in the October Challenge. YOu "guys" are awesome!!!

I am SO sorry... I forgot to mention the exercise in the October challenge. Drats! Just realized it, and I don't want to add another thing to it now.

Personally I am going to start walking my dog more-- a good start & cheaper than a club at this point!

Hugs to you all....gotta go.
Annie
