Question Carb / Starch Blocker Pills ????

I am pretty new to LCing. I have been doing it for about a month. Before I stared I thought I would die w/o bread. Before LCing I could eat a whole loaf at The Outback Steakhouse. Suprisingly now, I do not miss it too bad. I have been cheat free for 25 days and feel much better. I no long get the "food coma" I used to get at 2PM everyday. So I do not plan to eat a bowl of pasta or have a baked potato, but I was wondering if these starch blockers can help absorb some carbs, if you something a little higher in carbs then you should?

When I saw them, reminded me of the chitosin to block fat. All seems too good to be true, but wanted to know if anyone has had any experiance with these.

I have been reading the boards for about three weeks and really appreciate the support and information.

Thanks,

Dasa

I tried them, and as I warn everyone, all I got for the money was gas....

Some people will say they use them to "cover" a cheat, but I've found that an occasional bit of potato or bread will have the same effect "magic pill" or not.. in fact, I go off-plan LESS without the idea I can get away with eating something I shouldn't...

I use carb blockers occasionally. Infact, I used them quite a bit during our vacation. I really don't know if they work or not, but I am still losing weight. I have the pills, and the chewable ones, but they do contain sugar.

I bought them and they didn't do anything for me. I took 6 a day -1/2 hour before eating and I still gained weight. I was not overeating at the time. Looked into the pills on the net and there has been no conclusive studies to prove that they work. Millions of people have tried them and found they did not work. I would say don't waste your money. After those pills failed me I started on Atkins. Just my 2 cents worth.

I've used them semi-successfully. I did an experiment with myself as the Guinea Pig right after I got them. I took the pills and then consumed [in one meal] 100g of Carbs from White Rice, White Pasta, and White Potatoes...eating virtually no Fruit or other Sugar Containing foods. I weighed myself the next morning and had neither lost nor gained weight. After the first day, I dropped the Pasta and Rice, but continued to consume copious amounts (50-100g) of carbs from White Potatoes and Bread. At the end of the week, I was horribly constipated and gassy...Weight/Fat-wise, I neither gained nor lost. I stopped using them because the gastric problems were not worth the extra carbs.
