Default My boob barometer & the slippery slope!!

Well - I havent exactly stalled, but things have slowed down for me lately and I feel "bloated" . I have had to reaxamine my eating again.

How do I know this - my "Boob Barometer" is telling me! I know it sounds weird but I can use my boobs as a sort of Atkins barometer - they seem to grow overnight when I am bad and go down overnight when I am being good!!! Anyone else experience this?

Anyway the results of my dietary self examination are :

I am not drinking enough water - i have gotten blase - i need to drink more as I know this will stop me feeling bloated.

I am not eating enough veggies as I am eating too many of my carbs from frankenfoods. I recently discoverd low carb bread, low carb chips. low carb chocolate covered peanuts, low carb keto crunch cereal. I can now happily go through a whole day not eating veggies but filling up on these things. I even ate keto crunch cereal and cream for dinner one night last week - (took me back to when I used to think that 3 bowsl of rice krispies with skim milk was a healthy dinner - cos it was low fat!!!). This is not good - these foods make me crave thngs I cant have but most importantly they stop me eating the vegetables and protein and fat I really do need.

I spent 3 months on a really strict diet and when i really started to feel thinner i relaxed and started the "one bite wont hurt" thing. Well it really does hurt!

So as of tomorrow I am back to basics for two weeks to re-educate myself about what I need to eat on this WOE. Inductio here I come!

Thanks for all the hints and tips on this board I pick up so much useful info from just reading about others day to day experiences doing this WOE - I just thought it might help someone else if I posted mine.

Claire and her barometer boobs!

I don't know exactly why but I love this line! Must be my imagination...

I see you don't need our ramblings - you have all possible causes figured out. Good for you! Good luck to you!

Arrow I hear ya

I've been on atkins since July 2003 and the past two weeks I feel like I've stalled out too. To many low carb things and not enough of what I should be filling up on. I'm going back to Phase one today and it's not going to be easy. I feel like I let myself down. Per usuale in my life. I start out big and end up falling......

Hey MalloyKell - dont be so hard on yourself. You havent failed. You have lost weight and you have decided to climb back on the wagon. Thats what its all about ; winning the war but being able to withstand losing the odd battle along the way.

I'm on induction again tomorrow too - so you are not on your own! Think about how far you have come and know that in a couple of weeks you will be closer to where you want to be.

My boobs usually shrink when I lose weight... for some reason they aren't doing that at all... in fact, quite the opposite. I wonder if it's all the extra fat and water I'm taking in...

They don't really indicate anything to me... yet. Do you hear beeping or something when you've gone awry?

Boobs?? What are those??
Well I never had any to begin with... basically Negative A.

But they did get alittle fuller when i gained... and haven't been going down..
Which is a miracle... thought that would be the first to go...

IF i could cheat and they would grow... I would be doing that every weekend before i go out... J/K

Snert! Too funny! Beeping boobs!

Actually, mine are shrinking. I noticed this morning when the bra was looking a bit baggy. Hmmm. At least I have enough to not miss some lost poundage!

I have lost a total of 12" off my chest measurements...lol! Yup...12"....that's a foot!!! Geez...never thought of it like that before. Went from a 42 DD to now a 36B (36C depending on the bra). Thank goodness! First time I bought a bra after my last child was born I scared myself...lol. Never dreamed they had grown so much!

My husband was glad to confirm for me that my bust size hasn't changed, which for me is great, don't need any losses there.
But I've found that when I do eat the refined carbs, I get a stomachache! Not worth it on so many levels...
