Default never ending induction

I have a friend who is doing Atkins and I have had to drag her out of induction. . .and I notice some people on this board say 'I have been on induction for 6 months' now maybe I read the book wrong. . .but that's not good. Is it? Part of stopping induction is adding in some of the foods your body needs. . .extra veggies, fruits. Plus I would not still be on this WOL if all I could eat was eggs, cheese and meat with the salad to break up the day. Purchased some soy noodles and gave two servings to my friend to use. . .she asked me how much per serving I replied 10g carbs "oh that's a little high, I'll use half" They were already in small servings. . .ahhh well. redawn

I think you mean 'Induction" not maintenance lol

and you can safely stay on induction until you are very close to your goal..it says so in the DANDR book.... gives an example of someone doing it for 2 years...

dur. :P thanks! So what's On going weight loss? I thought induction was too restrictive and should only be used to start or restart yourself. Guess it never hurts to re-read Atkins. .. but first I have the Davincy Code! redawn

On going weight loss is step 2...however it basically states in DANDR that Induction is 2 weeks MINIMUM..he actually encourages you to do it longer! OWL...basically most ppl switch to it after 2 weeks because they get bored eating only from the listed allowed foods....they are both fine except you lose weight faster in Induction.

defiantely reread the book! Its really quite informative!
