Default Magnesium Question...

I am taking a Multivitamin called, "Animal Pak" I am finishing it off then will get a generic brand multivitamin... (I take one pack a day)

Here is the nutritional info:

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/univ/animalpak.html

Now, I wanted to know why my Fitday.com tells me i am deficient in Magnesium, Selenium, Iron, etc...

http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/Public...ml?Owner=ksmian

Could anyone please clarify the matter.

Thank You,
Korry

Your link didnt work, this is what you want to post
http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/Public...ml?Owner=ksmian

Public fitday accounts do not show nutritional info, but have you entered your vitamins / minerals into a custom food ? Opps, I see from yesterday you have.

From the lable of the PAK, do you see the DV% down the last column? For magnesium is 20% (that is 20% of the daily recommended value). For selenium it doesn't even register

Multi vitamins are designed to keep you from become deficient in something (or from getting scurvy, if you will) Unfortunately, they don't really do much else.

Oh... ok...

Thank you, Nat, for clearing that up for me... I guess I will work on my diet, (I mean try to get more of my vitanutrients through natural sources rather than supplements...)

Thanks again,
Korry

You can also take a Magnesium supplement. I had been having some problems (cramps in my legs etc) from a deficiency and the supplement cleared it right up.
