Default Inspiration in my thighs...

My inspiration for losing weight are my chaffing thighs.

My goal is to no longer have to wear leggings (or pantyhose) under my skirts so that my legs don't rub together when I walk.

My husband and I went to Las Vegas last August, and in the dry heat my legs rubbed together so bad I got sores on the insides of my thighs. I didn't want to wear pantyhose, because it was so hot.

I have a problem with chaffing... and I can't wait to reach my goal so that I can wear skirts and dresses and not have to walk with my legs spread apart.

Ohhh I hate that I mainly wear shorts or trousers to avoid it.

Don't know if you know this or not but I found the best thing to heal the legs quickly is baby oil, when mine get chaffed I put loads of oil on when I go to bed and by morning my legs are fine again. I had been told to use talcum powder but found that just dried my legs out and caused scabbing which was even more painful.

When I put on weight last year (two stone in less than six months ) the first thing I noticed was that horrible feeling of thighs rubbing together

Getting rid of it again is one of my main motivations for persevering

Hey, that was my goal when I started too. To just stop my legs from rubbing together so bad.

True story: first day at the gym, I could only walk 8m on the treadmill, not because I was out of breath, but because even though I was wearing pants, my legs had rubbed together so bad I had to go to the drugstore and buy baby butt cream for them.

Default I can feel your pain...

I started to run this February with 35 lbs excess weight. Chafing was one of my major obstacles. And yes, I remember the pleasusre when one day suddenly I recognized: wow! there is no more chafing between my thighs.
Actually it can be problem even now, 35 lbs later, under the hot California sun. (Between thighs and shorts, arms and shirts etc.) For me the real elixir to prevent this is Bodyglide. (My tritahloner son recommended it, it prevent chafing even when he had to run/cycle with sand-covered body.)

well... I use to have that problem even when I was a 17 year old, but it wasn't quite as bad as it is now. It seems that the more I weigh, the more my thighs rub together.

AMEN!!

i don't wear skirst very often in the summer because of that. Although, I've found that if I wear one, I can wear tight "bike" type shorts underneath and this stops the chafing.
