My daughter and I are both LCing and we wondered if there were any other mother daughter (or father, son whatever) combinations. I've been dieting for over 57 years. My mother was told when I was a baby, that I was so small she'd never rear me.
I wish I could get my three sons (who are in their 40's) to give this a go.
However "where there's life theres hope". Hopefully they won't leave it as long as their mother.
The good news is that this problem doesn't seem to have carried on to the third generation. They get a bit plump but seem to grow out of it, when we leave them alone.

Default My daughter & I are also LCarbing on Atkins.

We've been on the diet since mid July, with my husband. He is losing so fast he has had to change clothes sizes two times and his belt, which was barely fitting is now too big. It's fun to diet together and it keeps each of us encouraged. My nephew, 17 years old & playing football, has lost 50 pounds; he started the 1st of June. He was our beginning inspiration. Yes he is. Hope your husband still is feeling better.

Me and my mother are doing the curves diet together she has been on about every diet known to man (since she was about 12 .. when her mother put her on diet pills... I have seen them pictures too and she was tiny!) anywho you know her metabolism is shot to heck and she is still doing great on this diet
I had never dieted before so this was all new to me but I have become the walking encyclopedia of food carb counts and what is in our curves diet book lol

My 16 year old son has just joined me on CAD. He wants to lose 30lbs which is reasonable, I think. He has been doing it since Monday this week and so far he loves it. And the 6 lbs hes lost already don't hurt either

It is weird having him on it... all my "stuff" has to go for two now and I have to plan better or I will run out. But, I am really happy that he is catching his weight before it gets out of hand. I only wish I had been lucky enough to know about CAD at that age.

I'll jump in here too, if I may. I am definitely "in the groove" and lovin' the lc lifestyle. My DD17 is trying. She has good days and bad days, but she is trying.... And, my mother is trying too! She is 78 and is trying to just cut back on the carbs and increasing her walking. It's a real family affair around here if you count my 4 siblings who are doing it too!

Happy lc'ing!
