Question Supplement to prevent Bruising?

HI! I've been on Atkins for 20 weeks and 1 day now. I've noticed that I'm more prone to bruising lately and was wondering what could be causing this and if there's a supplement that I should be taking to help prevent it? Thanks!

Nicole

One vitamin that helps stop bruising is C. Are you getting enough of that?

Yes, as Nopie says, Vitamin C is the answer. Have a look at this previous thread on bruising. It includes lots of useful links as well as plenty of info from Doreen, Nat and others.

WOW! Thanks very much for such a quick response. I do take a multivitamin but with the cold I've had this past week I've been taking anywhere from 3-5K mg of Vitamin C and haven't noticed any new ones. I'll have to keep on top of it. Had bloodwork done a couple weeks ago and have received a callback notice so I'm hoping my cholesteral is down as I'd hate to start taking meds for it. If it's anything like my bloodpressure it should be improved as well. Thanks again!
