Question I got caught out...

with no food in the car... dumb dumb dumb! I know.. anyhow, I stopped at McDonald's (the only thing that had drive-thru and the baby was sleeping in the back, so I didn't want to wake him)..

I ordered a double quarterpounder with cheese (AND bacon) PLAIN, no fixin's... then I ate it with only half the bun (had to leave the top on, everything was attached to it with the cheese-glue). I had water in the car (okay, smarter..) so I drank that.

My question... how many carbs is what I ordered?

My guess? 12. 0 for meat, 0 for the trace amount of bacon, and 1 for the cheese, and 11 for the one bun. Does that sound reasonable?

Blessings!

You can find the value here (except the bacon)
http://www.mcdonalds.com/countries/...pped%2 0Onions

In short:
2 patties + half bun + cheese + bacon = approx 16g

Here's a site where you can look up lots of Fast Food Chains and get the carb count for their products:

Looks like about 16 carbs

The nice thing about McDonalds is you can order without the bun - for future reference.

Hand me a couple of bun-less McDonald's cheeseburgers, no ketchup and extra pickles and I'm happy.

I'll join you on your next drive-through run!
