Question mustard

Hey. This is my first week on induction, five days cheatfree. Yeah. But then again maybe not. I've been dipping my hamburger patties in mustard. Does heinz mustard have sugar? I can't check the label b/c i get the mustard from huge pumps in my school's cafateria. Thanks for your help.

No, the plain yellow kind of mustard is just fine. I checked all the brands, and most have "0" listed for carbs. Just to be safe, I usually count it as one anyway.

Lightbulb hope this helps.

rosemam,

i use a combination of fitday.com and NAT (the nutritional analysis tool -HIGHLY ACCURATE) to count up carbs and cals and stuff. fitday is good for keeping a log, and NAT is great for the data. if you find a food that is inaccurate or just not specifically what you are eating (for instance, if you concoct something and you want to put all the ingredients together and then find out what a serving of it is worth) you can look it up on NAT which i have found to be pretty exhaustive when combined with fitday.

URL's:

http://www.fitday.com it's free!
http://www.nat.uiuc.edu it too, is free!

with tools like these available, you never have to wonder again.
*whew* its a relief to me, that's for sure!

HTH,
paradox

Just be aware that when something says 0 carbs it can mean up to .9 carbs for that serving size.

When doing induction I was rounding up to 1 just in case but this of course, is up to you.

Mustard usually has no added sugar. Except, beware of Honey Mustard.

Mustard is fine according to Dr. Atkins. Enjoy!

I'm so proud of you for choosing great foods in the cafeteria lines! If your school has it, you can also have a taco salad, sans shell! Yum, pour it on and get your veggies in while you're at it! Pour Ranch dressing that they have in the pump too!
