Either a) read the book or b) search the threads.
They will tell you the simple answer to your question...which is the colour doesn't make any difference unless you are a diabetic checking to see if you're about to die.
My friend is in the dark areas almost all the time, and I'm in the pale pink, and I lose weight and inches faster than she does.
ETA: Didn't mean to sound snarky...I just meant there's lots of reassuring stuff out there on this topic.
