Default Super Walmart and the candy aisle...

Holy cow Super Walmart has got SOOO much SF candy!!! I couldnt decided which 1 to try! I seriously stood in front of all the SF candy for 10 minutes looking at the labels and trying to pick just one bag. I have SF Russell Stover in the freezer right now, I dont want to get a million bags of candy and then eat them all at one time...So I decided I have to finish the 2 bags I have before I buy more but at least now I know where to go! I got these things called GoLightly in the Chocolate and Creme flavor. They had them in strawberry and creme too. Theyre chewy and really good, made with Splenda. Heres the nutritional info...

Serving Size 7 pieces

Cal. 150
Total Fat 7
Sat. Fat 3
Cholesterol 10
Total Carb 31
Dietary Fiber less than 1
Sugar Alcohols 30
Protein 0

So that makes 1 Net Carb for 7 pieces right? And after eating 1 or 2 there isnt much need to eat anymore or your jaw might hurt I got mine for $1.36...mmm!!! Anybody else have any candy tips?!

I like the Pure Delite Chocolate bars and the Atkins Peanut Butter cups.

Just be warned that not all sugar alcohols affect people the same way. I can handle Malitol just fine but you give me anything with lactitol in it and I am out of commission.

I had to laugh when I saw the "Go lightly" candies at Wal Mart. I'm a nurse. When people are going to go for bowel procedures such as colonoscopys, they are give a bowel prep to "clean them out" They have to drink this stuff....and it's called "Go Lightly". Knowing now what sugar alcohols do.... I got a good chuckle out of it......

Mmm Paleoanth...what do you mean...out of commission? As in the bathroom problem? Haha I had 3 SF Russell Stovers at 1 time and wasnt feeling so great but nothing real bad. Nothing has made me sick yet. Lucky me If I have heavy whipping cream in ANYTHING I feel fat and icky. When I used to eat icecream I would get sick..I couldnt have milk when I was little, maybe I still shouldnt have milk products. Who knows?

Yup-that is what I mean. I got some Hershey's sugar free peanut butter cups once and for some stupid reason ate the whole bag. Well, they were really small and there were only 10 in the bag. Worse thing I have done in a while. YIKES!

I think you are OK as long as you don't repeat my mistake. I have had the RS-and am OK-just get a little bloated feeling.

I LOVE WalMart's Candy isle! I make up reasons to go to WalMart so I can stock up on some more candy.
My recent endeavors are:
Russel Stover Mint Patties YUM!
RS Toffy Squares YUM!
RS Mint Truffles YUM!
RS Rasberry Cream Truffles YUM!
RS Strawberry Cream Truffles YUM YUM!
RS Low Carb Chocolate truffles (same thing as sugar free, just put on box low carb and doubled the price) Yum!
RS Jelly Beans YUM! YUM! Taste just like Jelly Belly's!

Okay, so everything Russell Stover that I have tried, I love! LOL!

In addition to the possible laxative effect, you also have to be careful to read ingredients so you can avoid trans-fats. Some of the brands and flavors have them, some don't. Carbolite dark chocolate, and Hershey SF chocolate and dark chocolate don't have trans fats, whereas Hershey PB and all of the Russell Stover flavors do. (None of the Atkins Endulge have transfats, either).

They are bad for you. What isn't anymore, no carbs, no bars, no jello, no aspartame, no trans fats...and on and on and on.

I'm sorry, I just can't believe that whole 'net carb' thing. I just head for the one with the lowest carb level and figure out how many pieces I can have that day (depending on how good I have been). I really like Russell Stover mini peanut butter cups. At 17 carbs (for four of them) minus one for fiber (I don't subract out the sugar alcohols), I just have one or two. But Ooooohhhh, they are sooooo good!

Well this isn't sugar free, but look for
Chocolove - 65% chocolate.

As I remember in Sugar Busters it was noted you could have chocolate if it was greater than 60% cocoa.

Each oz has 12 g fat, 11 g carb, 4 g fiber, 10 g sugar and 2 g protein. Total cals 161, fat cals 108.

Ingredients: Cocoa liquor, sugar, cocoa butter, lecithin and vanilla.

They are on the web at
http://www.chocolove.com

I have an oz 3-4 times a week and it hasn't stalled me. I count the carbs.
