Default Can I cheat on the veggies?

I really am not a big fan of salad. On Atkins, can you add more of the "cooked vegetables" category for induction and reduce the "salad vegetables"?

Just be sure you gets lots of fiber or you'll experience some unpleasant side effects of slow "mail" delivery.

I would say yes. I don't think there is any hard and fast law that says you MUST consume 2 cups of salad per day. It would help in the fiber department if you were to eat at least some of the other veggies raw or only lightly cooked to get the most fiber possible as well as preserving more of their nutrients.
I'd say go ahead and eat the other veggies on the allowed list for induction. After all, I don't think too many of us here got overweight by eating too many green beans or cucumbers.

...and remember that there are other salad veggies, not just lettuce. Mushrooms, celery and green peppers are an example; I love those sliced up and dipped in Three-cheese ranch dressing.
