I would love to join you as I have been cheating on and off for the last three months but I am off to Germany to see my brother next weekend and I can't stand putting my sister in law through the trauma of feeding me on a diet. Rather than using this as an excuse though I would like to join in with you all for six weeks. I will post on 1st September and log my weight and then off I go! I go to Australia for the holiday of a lifetime on 23rd November and really, really want to be in a UK size 14 by then. I am edging into an 18 at the moment. I started at 26 so it has been going well.

Welcome foxy and easyrider! I put your current weight on the first page in a post with everyones starting weight. I'm going to weigh in weekly on Mondays. The starting weights are to compare in 7 weeks from now, because I know not everyone likes to weigh in weekly.

Well I did no exercise today, won't be doing it on Mondays or Wednesdays due to class.

My food today
2 hamburger patties
Vienna Sausages
Bell Peppers
2 fried eggs w/ butter

I stepped on the scale after I posted earlier it said 195. If it says that tomorrow morning then I will take that as 195.
You know what is so depressing my boyfriends legs and mine are the same exact size. Tomorrow morning I have to run to school for a few minutes after that I'll come home and do my work out tape. I found 64 hamburgers for $20, frozen, 100% beef, 30 grams of fat. I thought that was a pretty good deal and a lot of fat which I love! I have a bag of chips on my counter they are driving me insane. I'm going to make my boyfriend take them home before I eat them!

Hello, everyone!

Update: worked out this morning (hit CURVES at 6:05!), spent ALL DAY getting my classroom ready for the not-so-little darlings (8:00-7:00 makes it an 11 hour day!). I'm kinda tired.

Food so far (still hungry, so will get some more protein/fat):

1 h/b egg
1 cobb salad (about 2 cups lettuce, part of a tomato, part of an egg, a slice of bacon, 1/8 avocado, slice of turkey breast, 2 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese, and blue cheese dressing on the side)--this was at a restaurant, so am not exactly certain of amounts
2 1/4 hamburger patties w/ mayo and mustard
2 cups iced tea
1 cup coffee (decaf) w/ 1 tablespoon cream
and
5 liters of water.

Scale this AM said 300.5, but I'm not believing it until next Monday.

HI! Yesterday I had:

2 cups of coffee, with a pack of splenda
2 eggs scrambled w/1 slice of cheese
1 cup broccoli
2 bratwurst for lunch
2 bratwurst for dinner
1 can of tuna fish

oh yes, and a handful of porkrinds when I got the munchies....LAST but NOT LEAST............80 ounces of water!!!!

Today I'm going to have eaten

2 burgers
mayo
slice of swiss cheese
1 cup of green beans
2 pickles
vienna sausages

I forgot to get my peppers so I'm a little low today on the carbs! Back up tomorrow. I'll edit this and post my water by the end of the day. No exercise today had to go to the University. There was so many people I'm so glad I now take night classes. All those people make me feel FAT FAT FAT! The scale said 197 this morning, I could have cried. But The last week my water had not been what it should and last night when I got home I ate most of what my menu was. But today is not monday so I'm not counting the 197. My hands are pretty tight feeling I think I have some fluid. The scale needs to go down ahh!

Jules - great job on the water

Mossling - 11 hour day wow, good job on the exercise. I know how you feel the scale goes down and you give it a few days and then believe it!

Off to do school work, oh joy!

Hello everyone,



Breakfast: 4 sausage links, 2cups of coffee w/ Creamer/ heavy whipping cream on top made with splenda.

Lunch: 1-1/2 c. Salad seasoned w/western style chicken topped with sour cream / salsa.

Dinner: Will be 2 hamburger patties with cheddar cheese dipped with mayo/mustard mixture.

Smack: 1cup heavy whipping cream with almond flavoring.

Water: 62 0z so far

Exercise; none so far

Weight: 239


Is it normal to feel so tired the first few days starting Atkins?

Blimey, you lot are certainly starting with the right amount of enthusiasm! I feel almost jealous that I shan't start till next Monday.

Oh well, I will make sure I make the most of the fantastic food in Germany from Thursday till Monday, ready to join you all with total commitment next week.

Hi
I want to join in the induction challenge. I did the 20 carb today. I keep up with my carbs on fitday.com. I did have a Atkins shake. I really like the forums, I think it will keep me on track.
What info do I need to post?

Welcome donna you can post your menu, water intake, exercise, comments. Any of those or none of those, whatever your are comfortable with. I added your starting weight with the rest. I just came back from town I almost stopped for a Pur Delight bar it was so hard to pass up!!!

This sounds like a wonderful idea. It will help to make me accountable for my cheating. Im still on induction but i keep doing things like drinking tea with regular sugar from time to time or i skipp meals. so hopefully this will work for all of us.

Another 11 hour school day (it's EASIER with the kids there! )

So far today I've had:
2 fried eggs
2 pieces of bacon
4 roast beef and cream cheese roll ups (while in a meeting where the OTHERS were having bagels and donuts)
1 cup coffee w/ heavy cream (same meeting)
1 cobb salad (we went out for lunch again)
2 glasses iced tea
and 4 liters of water.

Dinner will be broccoli and 2 lamb chops; they're cooking. More water, too.

No exercise, unless setting up the class room counts!

I found this funny. I called today about giving plasma and was told if you are over certain weights you get added $5, at my weight it must be a lot of money for donating lol. I'm off to school again till 9pm. I'm worried about eating after so I'm going to eat something around 200 calories I guess even though I'm hungry. I don't want to gorge on food then go to bed. The scale went like this the last few days Mon-195, Tues -197, and Wed-197. Frustrating!

Day 2
