Smile Losing again - FINALLY!

For all of you out there getting discouraged, I wanted to tell you that after losing a lot early, then a period of slow losing, I went through more than a month and a half of nothing much happening. I was getting really bummed out, going back to old negative thoughts - "I can't do this, I'll never be thin, why even try, yadda yadda" - but this week, I'm suddenly back to losing a half pound a day. Yippee. And I didn't even do anything differently!

So anyway, it seems it's true about plateaus and the virtue of hanging in there.

Are you still doing Induction...or have you moved up? Did you introduce any LC stuff and then eliminate them? H gained 1/2 lb this week but started eating an Adkins Indulgence Bar every night night. Those 3 carbs were at the expense of veggies and I told him I was afraid he would stall...or gain. I have had a few myself and didn't gain but didn't lose, either. The Atkins Breakfast Bar he has in the morning didn't seem to have any effect...he started those three weeks ago. I got lazy and switched from fresh chicken to frozen and added frozen hamburger patties (we hadn't been eating any hamburger) and I wonder if that made a difference as well. So...now we are back to the basics of our first week. Hope it helps.

Thanks for letting us know elaborate tricks aren't necessary to re-start weight loss. Sticking to it really IS the best medicine. Good job!
