Default EATing out for lunch...quick suggestions

Going to a Mexican place...obvoiusly I know "no chips or tortilas"...any suggestions on what to eat????

Order tacos a la carte, eat the fillings - meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato - and skip the shell. You could put a dollop of sour cream and/or guacamole on top of it all.

Skip the beans and rice in addition to the chips and salsa.

That would depend if you are on Induction or not. You have to watch the taco sauce because they can be loaded with carbs.

Your best bet is to get a chicken or steak dinner and eat the meat and veggies. Try to get something that is not coated or smothered in a sauce. Fajitas are pretty good for ducking the carbs...just don't eat the tortillas. Onion, peppers, chicken (or steak) with lettuce, tomatos and sour cream on the side.

I like to order fajitas and just eat the meat, cheese and veggies in a little "salad" without the tortillas. Yum!

I usually order a beef tostada and eat everything but the tortilla. Sometimes I get 2 or 3 chicken tacos and dump everything out of the shells, onto the plate, and top with sour cream. Enjoy!

Fajitas, Carne (beef) Asada, Pollo (chicken)Asado, Mexican style steak (served with grilled onions, mushrooms, peppers) are all excellent choices. Just ask for a salad instead of chips, rice, beans, and torts.

Now I'm hungry!

Thanks for the suggestions ya'll....I had the Taco Loco..basically a chicken taco salad...without the shell. It was mostly chicken & lettuce. A small half slice of tomato, sour cream and about an ounce of cheese...hope I did ok..I did put about a teaspoon of pico de gallo on the salad...I'm figuring I had about 7-8 carbs...
