Default Ketostrips - Is medium a good level?

I did a ketostrip test this afternoon and it showed a 'medium' state of ketosis. (medium pink) Is that what I want? or do I need to be in the dark purple range?

Any Color Is Good! If It's The Slightest Bit Pink You're In Ketosis. If It Gets Too Dark, You May Just Be Dehydrated...so I'll Have To Say You're Doing Excellent!

Hi Wendy,

Yes, any colour change means you are in ketosis. And you can even be in ketosis and not change colour on the strips at all.

If you go to "Low Carb Tips" on the orange bar at the top of the screen, you'll see (along with lots of other great info) an article by our Doreen T called Ketosis and Ketone Test Strips which will explain more to you.

Cheers.

Rosebud
