Thumbs up I Live in Nebraska too

HI I Live in Hastings, not too far from you. My oldest
son and his wife live in Omaha, so I and my DH travel
to Omaha every once in a while.
I started on Atkins in May, have lost only 15# or so,
but I plan to hang in there and git to goal, it will probably
take at least a year, but i'll git there.
Bart

Hey all. Nice know my DH and I aren't the only ones lo carbing in Nebraska!

Welcome to lo carbing Joe! You'll find the first week or two hard, but after that it's a breeze. We've been doing it for almost 2 months now and have each lost 20 lbs! Not to mention feeling great on top of it. I have a daughter in the AF, but don't get down to Bellevue much.

Resha...way to go on the weight loss! 15 pounds is pretty good, everyone is different at the rate they lose. How are you feeling?

Hi Bart, how's the lo carbing going in Hastings? Just stick with the plan, it seems to get easier each day.

Nice meeting everyone!

Hi Kidee! Nice to hear from another fellow Nebraskan. Of course, I'm transplanted - originally from Wisconsin, but have been living here since 1985.

How long have you been LCing? It would be nice to have someone locally to correspond with for support!

Jeanette

Hi Bart! My daughter is at Offutt, works in computers, the help desk area. She's looking to reinlist I think.

So, how is LCing working for you? I see we're about similar height, I'm 60"!! And have quite a few pounds to get ride of.

Had a few too many carbs from my garden, yesterday, I'l
have to watch that.

Hi Jeanette,

i've been LC'ing since June 9 - i'm in a horrendous stall or i'm not doing something right -- been hovering around the same 2 or 3 pounds for about a month. But i'm not discouraged (yet). The PM's on this site are a little limiting but i can PM you with my email addy if you'd like to correspond that way.

Hi Bebet. Yes, small world.

My daughter worked the mid shift when she was doing help desk. They've recently moved her and she's working days now working on computers (installing software and such). Don't know if that's still the same shop!
