Default day 11 of induction and I accidentally had sugar!!!

Okay, this is day 11 of induction for me and I was at a friends house and she offered me lemonade. I love lemonade!! So, why not? AFTER I finished drinking it, I realized it had sugar in it!! AACCKKK!! I was sooo mad at myself for not thinking about it!!! Anyway, a little while after I drank it, I felt really tired and a little dizzy. Could this be from the sugar???

His,
MrsTU

Yes. Your body converted to fat burning and then you overwhelmed it with sugar. It went right into your blood stream so you had the effects of a sugar rush. Don't worry about it too much. Just be careful the next couple of days.

Last week I did the same thing. I went to a Starbuck's and asked for a iced coffee blended like a frappuccino. Well, they gave me a coffee frappuccino. I started drinking it and it was so cold that I didn't taste it. Within moments I realized I was drinking pure sugar and threw it away. I tested my blood sugar when I got home and it was twenty points higher than it had been. Oh well.

Yep, sounds like a sugar rush to me. Drink lots of water to flush it out of your system.

Don't overly stressit. Accidents will happen. Rememebr this is a way of life that you have to stick to. In the long term a little accedental sugar won't have a profound effect as long as it doesn't send you into cravings and binges. Just drink water and get back on plan. After a while you'll get into the habit of asking what htings are sweetened with
