Thumbs up New and loving it

I've been doing Atkins for about 7 weeks now. Been in a stall for almost 2 weeks so I appreciate the advice on refeeding. However, I have not been albe to let myself do it. I've read a lot on it, but. . .
There are 3 of us here at work who are doing Atkins and we appreciate the new recipes.

Default Thanks Fellow Midwesterner

I checked it out and will try to convince myself to go ahead on it. I have dieted on and off all of my life and have never felt so good on a diet (Not a diet this time but a life style change). I have energy and enthusiasm that I have not had before. I just have to be a little kind to myself and let myself have some of the foods that I had convinced myself were no-nos. I have not gone very far from the induction level of carbs either. I will try it this weekend.

I'm still hanging in there. I have had a couple of "free" meals and that does seem to get me going and losing again. I am down 3 sizes now and hoping for at least 1 more. I am still about 15 pounds from my goal weight, but feel pretty good about the changes in my body. I love the recipes and (surprise, surprise) so does my husband (who doesn't need to lose).

Good for you! There is some debate but I think sometimes those "free meals" can help. Not only for weight loss but psychologically as well. Gotta let your hair down from time to time!

True. I did fiscover that if I ate too many carbs, I felt really crappy. So going free once in a while makes me appreciate how good I feel without the sugars, etc. I now just have a small amount of extra carbs and make it something I really like (a small ice cream cone). Then I go right back to being good for a week or more before indulging again. It seems to work pretty good for me.

Still - the ice cream was good even though I don't crave it any more. It is nice to know that I can have it and not blow everything (like some other diets I have tried)

Have you tried Le Carb? It is low carb ice cream - very good. You can find it at Walmart.

I've seen it, but haven't tried it. Is it really creamy?

Yes- I liked it. Tried the vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and cinnamon. The cinnamon had a very mild flavor....reminded me more of a French vanilla.
