Default Help Im Out Of Ketosis!

Hey Guys-
I'm new this this thread and to Atkins as well. I've been on the program roughly 3 weeks. Unfortunately I did not weigh myself right before I started the program, so my start weight is from the beginning of June when I came home for the summer. All of last week I began checking my ketosis and it turned purple all the time. The past two days the stick is now a light pink. I have been eating sugar free jello and a few sugar free candies here and there. Should I stop these and then check in another day or to...please help! Already I've gone from a size 16 to a size 14 my ultimate goal is to get down to a size 12.

pink is ketosis. Something you obviously are eating is affecting your level and I suspect its either the Asparateme in the Jello or the sugar alcohols in the candy. I suggest you cease both and see if things change. I personally cannot eat anything with Sugar Alcohols because they knock me out of ketosis.

Talking congrats on your success so far!

In my experience the jello is ok, but those sugar free candies still have a lot of carbs. I would cut those out first and see how you do, or cut out both and then add back the jello only, but I think it is the candies that are to blame.

But congrats on your progress so far! keep it up and in a few weeks when you go back to school no one will recognize you!

Don't hold much faith in keto strips. They are very imprecise, they will change due to dehydration, eating extra fat, all sorts of things. If you are still losing weight, don't worry about it too much. BTW, as long as they are not tan, they are still registering ketones and you are still in ketosis.
