Default Tony Little's Gazelle Elite

I currently go to Curves 3x per week (this is all my work schedule will allow so I can't increase the frequency). I am thinking about purchasing a Gazelle Elite so that I can get low-impact exercise on days when I don't go to Curves.

Due to having surgeries on my foot and an injured knee, I cannot really abide high impact exercise so I thought this might be a good way to get some activity.

Anyone have a Gazelle Elite out there? Do you like it? Do you use it? Or has it become great clothes hanger over time?

I love using those elliptical mcahines. they are so easy on your knees and ankles and you can really get a good workout.

Well, I did it! I heard from a few other folks who have one of these things and they really like it and have continued to use it over time (a big factor in my decision to buy one).

Should be here some time next week. I'm planning to use it to supplement exercising at Curves 3x per week.

At the worst, I can use it for 30 days and if I don't like it, back it goes! I need low impact though, and this will provide that, so I'm hoping it will work for me.

If anyone else has one or has used one, I'd love to hear from you!

Hi Pugzilla -- I hope you're subscribed to this thread so you can come back and answer!

Have you had a chance to use the Gazelle? What do you think of it? Do you still use it or have you found it gets boring after a bit? I've been wanting one for months and am in the final stages of convincing my other half that we really, really need one.

Thumbs up

Have it - - use it along with my AB workout - - Curves on the other days. You can adjust the resistance so it is definitely low-impact and great cardio workout. Recommended.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner to this thread. Yes, I got the Gazelle and I really like using it. However, someone slammed into the back of my car while I was at a red light about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I got a back case of whiplash, so I haven't really been able to exercise much lately. Doctor has prohibited Curves for at least another week and told me only limited time on the Gazelle.

It's been a great thing even having it around these last few weeks. At first I couldn't bear even a minute on it, but recently have been able to use it for increasing periods.

I can't see getting bored with it, and my pug finds it fascinating to watch me on it, so it's fun just to see her reaction! I just turn on some music and move.

I definitely would recommend it for low impact exercise and I'm glad I got one.

Sorry to hear about your accident. You sound like you're pulling through. I had a wicked case of whiplash about nine years ago -- it's no picnic!

My chihuahua also loves watching me on the Gazelle -- maybe it's a dog thing!

Default Gazelle

I have heard that a Gazelle-like machine is available at Academy (Houston, Texas area), at a lower price than Tony's.

I'm going to check it out.
