Default Any protein shake recommendations?

Has anyone found a shake that they like? It seems that to find a good shake for Atkin's you don't have many to choose from (once you reduce to just the LC ones). I've had bad luck with yucky tasting powders in the past and want to avoid wasting another $20 on something I can't stand.

Thanks!

I just discovered a shake I like Designer Whey Protein Supplement. I am using Chocolate Flavor. Mixed with a few strawberries, cream and ice for breakfast.

Label States (per scoop):
Calories - 90
Fat - 1.5 g
Carb - 2
Fiber - 1
Sugars - 1
Protein - 17.5 g

I am not a nutrition expert but using this shake this week I have dropped 5 lbs. So it does not have the adverse effect the any of the lc candies do.

Good Luck

I bought some powdered shake mix in the past and like you didnt care much for it. I've discovered two things that make a great difference. First do not use the recommended amount. Mine says to mix 2 scoops to 8 oz of water. This is way too much, I only use a little over one scoop per 10 oz and it taste much better. The next thing I've done is added some Davinci Sugar Free Syrup to the shakes. A Chocolate shake and Hazelnut syrup is pretty dang good. There are many other combinations to use with both chocolate and vanilla as well. Good luck.

My favorite are the EAS premade carb control shakes. The Atkins I only like using 1 scoop and mixing with cream or yogurt. The designer whey is ok in yogurt or shakes made from yogurt and soy milk. I havn't tried it in just water.

I like the designer whey chocolate shakes,, (from powdered mix) but i find EAS ready to drink shakes, (strawberry) the best.. and the most reasonably priced..
p.s., im back from taking a long hiaitus from atkins, and gaining back all the 30 pounds that i lost,, (plus a few more. ) if i would have stuck it out then, i would be at my goal weight now

I really like the Atkins shakes in the Cafe Au Lait flavor. Pour over ice and it tastes like an iced coffee. Yum. Wal-Mart carries them too!

My vote goes for EAS!
I add a tablespoon or two of heavy or reg cream and mix the ready made shakes with a little cup blender tool (battery operated gizmo). I find them to be easy on the stomach, and taste pretty good. I can't stomach the atkins or other low carb canned ones (The soybean oil I think makes mae nauseous and they taste too sticky sweet)
Just my humble opinion. The Strawbery Cream flavor is great.

Thanks everyone for all the great ideas! I think I'll try the designer whey and the EAS lowcarb stuff.
