Do you feel icky every time you eat - regardless of what you eat? Does quantity make a difference? Has it been this way since you started LCing?

The only time I get an icky feeling is when I overdue the carbs.

I don't know anything about morning sweats or weak feeling - personally, anyway. How long has your friend been LCing - some people have a harder time getting over their carb withdrawals and while their body switches to burning fat.

Your friend might want to check her blood sugar.

I haven't experience the icky nauseous feeling either, if its some food in particular perhaps you are getting sick of it? Try to drink a glass of water before your meal and during and see if that helps.

As for your friend, is she taking her vitamins?? I got the weakness and headaches for the first week then things eased up for me. But everyone is different.

Good Luck to the both of you.

I had that feeling some 10 days ago. I felt icky and each time I smell food, I felt like throwing up. Cos Atkins says not to go more than 6 waking hours without food, I had to force myself to eat and when that did not go well, i resorted to having shakes instead.

Possiblities: maybe not including veggies/salads with meat intake, lack of supplements, clashing medications, too much fats/oil (butter, fats from skin, etc), taking medication on an empty stomach, not consuming enough water, TOM, PMS syndrome, or simply having a stomach bug.

Mine turned out to be too much fats and clashing on supplements!

Sorry, dunno about morning sweats or feeling weak - never experienced that.

Hope u get better!!

Two ideas...dehydration and vitamins on an empty stomach? Both make me feel very sick. Hope you guys feel better soon. Teens

I find a hot tea after a meal really helps the food find its way down.

When I had hypoglycemic occurances, I would get the cold sweats, shakiness and trembling, feeling faint, and all-over weakness. This only happened in the a.m., if I ate something sugary for breakfast like a donut, or if I did not eat anything at all. I can remember these occurances as far back as when I was a young child. I never had it checked out because it happened so infrequently and would go away after I ate and drank something substantial. I did, however, have a problem with low blood sugar during my recovery from surgery a few years back.

I have not had one of these occurances since I began this WOE.

This sounds like what your friend is experiencing. Please recommend a visit to the doctor and blood sugar check. Low blood sugar is nothing to mess around with.

I'm not sure why you are experiencing nausea, but there is another thread on this forum that may be informative. It's titled "Is anyone else nauseaous?"

Hope you're feeling better soon. It can't possibly be easy to stick with a diet that makes you feel yucky. Hang in there!
