Default Low Carb Retreats?

Are there any Low Carb Retreats, camps, hotels, or conventions?

Hello Jean. I had asked a similar question, and found there are actually Atkins cruises 2 times a year. If you check on www.viplinc.com you can find the details. The next cruise is in October, I will be in NC so won't be able to attend. It sounds like they are a blast. The menu has the carb count listed, and there are special lo-carb presentations etc. Queen Bee

We are building a group campground/spa. The first event is for motor cycles. We are going to program it for different kinds of groups. So I was thinking (because I am a low-carber) that this might be a neat thing to set up for the low-carb people. Do you think anyone would be interested in something like this?

Jean 100,

Where in Oklahoma are you setting this up? I live in Tulsa, and would be really interested in something like that.

I must admit I'm usually just a faithful lurker, but your idea prompted me to reply. I'd love to hear more about it your plans/ideas. I've been lc off and on for 6 years but finally realized it has to be "ON" all the time and actually for the rest of my life. I've learned how to really enjoy it and make it a WOL instead of a diet.

Hi Julie,

I am not far from you. Just about 2.5 hours southeast. We are located in the middle of the Ouachita National Forest. We have a view of the Talimena State of Oklahoma Scenic By-Way from the new group campground. I think you should send me a private email for more information: vjharris~clnk.com

But I was thinking that a weekend, or a week of all the low-carb activities. We could bring in venders who do only cater to low-carbs food/stuff. Plan hikes, exercises, games, talks ect. This is all in the planning stags.

Jean
