Default Donut holes have no place anymore

LOL I am SO HAPPY about this. I went to a meeting this morning, expecting to sit an be bored, which I was, but that's another story. Anyway, Guess what was there? A HUGE bowl of orange juice-like punch. Can't go there. DIDN'T A HUGE plate of red and green grapes on the vine. Can't go there. DIDN'T. AND 3 kinds of frikkin' donut holes, PLUS Chocolate chip cookies. GAG ME, can't go there, did not, there was not even a desire to eat it, it just looked too SWEET to me. I really do not miss that crap. SO, everyone sat there scarffing their treats, and I sucked down half a liter of water. LOL Then I came back to the desk, and promptly opened the pack of pepperoni and the pickles I had prepared. As Cher says, Take that, you bitches. LOL

I work as a charge nurse in a nursing home. What kills me are the hot chocolate chip cookies as activities brings them out of the oven. They always make an extra tray and put them at the nursing station as a treat-right next to my desk. The aroma is delicious. I run around peddling them to staff and residents as quickly as possible to avoid eating them myself. I also have them trained to tell me they taste terrible. My staff is very good to me-and are all willing to "take one for the team." If I were ever going to binge cheat-it would be with one of those danged cookies.

Wow what a great job resisting. I think the chocolate chip cookies would have made me weak in the knees for a bit. Isn't it amazing how great you feel when you are able to resist tempation? I always get a second burst of energy and it re-confirms that this WOE is great.

Well, I actually think the supplements are really helping me to resist sweet stuff. And, I know its all good, when I have that constant TIN flavor in my mouth. Now, why would I want to go and place thoise gross cookies in there? LOL

btdude what supplements are you taking? Not having the sweets is the biggest challenge for me. Maybe I should follow your lead and try some supplements?

L-Carnitine, Chromium, and the CoQ10. Also I take the multi, and Vitamin C for good measure.

Way to go, Dude! You have strength!

I had a similar situation a few weeks ago - I was in a weeklong workshop, and the professor had a box of chocolate fudge on his desk at the front of the classroom. I had to stare at the fudge (and everyone else in the class eating it) the ENTIRE WEEK! It seemed it was refilled daily - AND one day some chocolate chip cookies showed up!

I did stop by the container and inhale deeply a few times but I resisted! So I know how pumped you feel for your success!

CONGRATS!

Joan

Great willpower! Donut holes and other stuff made with hydrogenated oils really have no interest for me -- but fresh baked chocolate chip cookies would be very very hard to resist!

Smells!
I have stuck my nose in that tray of cookies more than once-after a while its better than actually eating them. Brownies are a good smell too! Nice long slow deep inhale. MMMMMMMMM
