Default Online Carb Counter

Two questions:
1. What the URL of a good site that tell carb counts on particular foods. I used to have some good sites, but went off Atkins for a whole year.

2. What is the carb count in flax seed.
I love flax. Want to know if I can use it during induction, and how much to use to keep carb legal.

Many of us here use www.fitday.com
There is also a carb counter here. look at the right side of the screen for "Carbohydrate Counter." You can also find it on the orange bar at the top of the screen under "Low carb tools."

The carb count of whole flax seed is:
1 tbsp - 3 carbs -3 fibre

ground seed:
1 tbspn 2.3 carbs - 2.2 fibre

Thanks, this has been helpful.

I have another question. What is the attraction with fitday? I went out there and looked around and thought it just seemed like a lot of work. Was I missing something. Tell me why you like it so much. I really appreciate it, because I'd like to use it,too, if there's benefit.

Once you get most of your custom foods entered it gets easier. The reason I like it is I have a hard time getting enough protien, it tells me how many grams I'm getting a day. I also have a hard time getting enough calories and around 60-70% of my calories from fat. Fitday tells me all that, plus how many carbs I'm having so hidden carbs won't sneak in. It also gives a report on whether I'm meating my nutricional needs so I can tell if I need to take more of a certain suppliment or less.

After sticking to this WOE for a while you get so accustomed to what you can and can't eat, many don't need it any longer. I've found though that without it my total calories ate and fat % drop way too low and I stop losing weight.
