Question Did I Wimp Out

Opthamologist (sic) was checking my eye today for a detached retina. He asks me about my cholesterol. Says he thinks it is high. I tell him it is 205. He says "it has to come down, no more fried foods, no more sausage, no more bacon. Eat baked chicken or fish and lots of veggies."
Did I tell him I'm on Atkins? NO! Dr Atkins would be ashamed of me I know. But I didn't want to take on the battle, so I said okay.

Have to go back in 1 month for another checkup. I have the onset symptom of detached retina, but he thinks it may be a temporary thing.
I am going to my regular doctor (before I go back to opthamologist) for another cholesterol test and will take him the results - which I am confident will be down next time.

What do you think? Did I WIMP OUT?

It's not worth the hassle to tell him then hear how he is against it, how bad it is for you, and then have to defend yourself. Changing someone's mind especially a Dr usually isn't very easy. I would just not tell him, not chickening out, just not going through the BS.
