Well I thought that if I'm to do this fitness challenge I ought to log my gym workout too...
I started at a gym beginning of May for a month and went to a different gym (cheaper and closer) well the 2nd one certainly has me working hard - well for me anyways!

For instance today (1st day) :-

stationary bike 10 mins level 3
treadmill walking hard 15 mins incline 6.5, pace 6.5
treadmill running 5 mins incline 1.5, pace 8.5
stepper 5 mins level 5
crunchies - eyuk! 90 reps
stretching
bench press 20 reps
shoulder press 20 reps
leg extensions 20 reps
lateral pulldown 20 reps
tricep pulldown 20 reps
dumbells 5lbs 60 reps
cycle ride home 5 mins
I shan't be doing this tomorrow cos of time committments but shall do so again Monday afternoon

shattered now so good night

Default Monday 30/6/03

Today I went to the gym
Stationary bike 5 mins level 3 (33 cals)
10 mins treadmill walking incline 7.0 %, speed 6.5km
5 mins treadmill running incline 1.0%, speed 8.5km (treadmill total 133 cals)
Stepper 8 mins level 4 (58 cals)
stretchies and crunchies
brisk walk home - so not bad today all in all a total of 224 cals plus some for the walk to work and from the gym 13mins either way- wouldn't know how to work that out I'm afraid - so will round it up to 250 cals for the day.

Bit of a lazy daisy cos I didn't go today and had no intention - whoops
excuses now -
  1. I had a blister on the heel of my foot,
  2. it was raining
  3. didn't feel like it
  4. couldn't think of any excuses
  5. all of the idea

Oh well next week is another day

Went to gym and tried the rowing machine for the 1st time ... set at 6 mins level 4 but only achieved to burn off 54 cals - shall go higher next time.
treadmill walking 6 mins 6.5 speed and incline 6.5%
treadmill running 5 mins 8.5 speed and incline 1.0%
then crunchies and stretchies
cycled home and then back to work to play a game of rounders
shattered - g'night!

Well its been just about 8 months since I last logged in my gym journal.... ooops.
I have now started Curves and it's been the 4th time so far and so far so good, 1/2 hour low resistance. Much better for me right now cos of the time factor. Feel as though I am not pushed hard enough but will see how I get on for now.
Later - Fi
