Default Newbie here...4th day of induction

Hi there. Just wanted to say hello. I've been reading the archives of this board and love the wealth of info. there is! My husband and I started doing Atkins on Monday. I am looking to lose about 15-20 lbs and my husband 30 lbs. As of this morning, I am 6 lbs lighter and my hubby 9. Could that be right? My scale isn't the best in the world.

I look forward to everyone's advice during my 'journey'.

The good news is yes, it can be right. The not so good news is that most of it will be water. Low carb diets have a diuretic effect - i.e. they make you wee!

On the other hand it's a sign that you're doing the right things and that real fat loss will soon follow!

Well done so far! keep it up. Don't forget to drink at least 8 x 8oz glasses of pure water each.

Robert

Default another ?

Is it water weight that I've lost when I am drinking in excess of 1 gallon per day?! I fill a gallon jug and drink throughout the day sometimes more. I was just wondering. I have heard that alot of the initial weight is from water, but what if I'm drinking alot also?? thanks!!
