Default good start

You need more carbs than that though. Try adding a salad or veggies to your dinner. Were you hungry yesterday? Also make sure the ham is sugar free.

You are eating fat too little fat! you should have 3 eggs and one slice of ham (bacon is better). If you will not increase your fat intake, you will be constantly hungry. I know it is hard to get use to, but FAT IS GOOD! on Atkins 70% of your calories should come from fat.

try to get some olive oil, cream, butter, etc.

Looks fine to me other than you need a veggie in there, during induction it can be 2 cup of salad veggies and 1 cup of other allowable ones. And it is important to get your carbs to 20 per day, it's all part of the plan, "less is better" is "not" how it will work. AS well have some butter on those veggies at dinner

Good Luck Kathy

Default American cheese ...

is a no-no during induction ... hard cheeses, cream cheese ... go to the atkins site for foods and diet know-how ...

good luck ... knowledge is power and in this case crucial to your well being ...

You need more veggies either salad or other allowable veggies like broccoli. Put some butter on cooked veggies to help up your fat intake. As far as the American Cheese, if this is the cheese you like don't worry it contains 1g net carbs per slice (most brands) & can safely be eaten on Induction, but if it's not important try using a less processed cheese like cheddar. I've used both with provolone & others too all along without problems, just be sure to limit it to 3-4oz daily. Like Kathy said restricting your carbs even lower than 20g will not aid in more rapid weight loss, so up those carbs with veggies. If you're not taking any supplements yet, then add a good multi-vitamin without iron too. Good luck & welcome.
God Bless,
Amy-Lynne

You say you have read Atkins for Life, but that is the wrong book for you. You need to read Atkins New Diet Revolution. Atkins for Life is more for people on maintenance.

Atkins New Diet Revolution has all you need to know about induction in it...
