Default Testing sticks

I finaly went and bought testing sticks yesterday, though I think I'll get them from online from now on. 25 sticks for $13 US.

Anyway the scale didn't move, but the testing stick was dark purple. I tested first thing in the morning like the directions stated. My question is, should I test in morning, or are those Keotines just from sleeping and fasting through the night, or should I test in afternoon or evening after eating all day?

By testing in the morning you are not getting a reading just from your food being digested. Dinner has long past. So this is a more accurate reading.

Hi Lady-- If you have a Walmart with a pharmacy in your location, get them there. I got 50 for $9 and change. Cheaper by far there. Aleka

Lab Essentials has them on line for $6.20 per hundred plus around $4.00 shipping ( I buy a bunch at a time to defray the shipping cost)

I went to the Walmart. They only had one brand and that was the expencive one I got.

The walmart here has only recently started carrying Atkins and other low carb products in the Pharmacy. They can't keep them on the shelves and are slowly expanding the selection. In grocery the only low carb thing I found was they just recently got Le Carb icecream. Here's hoping they get the hint and keep stocking up.

Now when I move to Laramie, lets hope the Walmart there is more understanding.

once you are in ketosis you body produces katons which means your body is using fat energy, which menas you are losing fat.

It doesnt really matter how dark the stick gets or what time you test yourself. If the stick changes colors you are burning fat. The scale may or may not reflect the change right away.

I am in Ketosis since the first week on induction, I test every day. I do not lose weight evryday, and once or twice I gaind a lb or two. with as much fat as I have, a little water retention will cause a "stall" or a gain... not to worry, if the sticks change color every day, the scale will eventually show the lose...

good luck.
