Default not losing

I've completed my induction and lost about 6 pounds in the first week. Nothing in the second week and now putting on weight in the 3rd week - up a couple of pounds.

I've been sticking below 25 carbs per day. Can you take a look at my fitday diary and see where I'm going wrong please.

Many of us experience what you are going through. It could be your body is putting on muscle, retaining water from too much sodium, PMS....It is normal to fluctuate a bit.

I looked at your fitday and just a couple of things you might want to consider. You are using milk in your coffee. Milk has sugar in it-why don't you try using real cream or at least half and half? Also, your protein looks kind of high in relation to your fat. You might want to check your ratios. Most people here report that they do best with at least 65% fat and 25% protein. I personally like to keep my fat at 70% of my calories.

Thanks for that, I am having cream in coffee but can't stomach the thought of cream in tea!
Does this matter if I'm sticking below 25 carbs?
I will try upping my fat, it's nice having butter but nothing to put it on!
I've found some slimcea bread, wholemeal, with only 6 carbs per slice. Would this be ok - I'm really fed up with bacon and eggs for breakfast.

The half and half might be good for the tea. I drink tea too and have either half and half or have gotten used to it plain.

I think that low carb bread might be OK, as long as you have it sparingly. You might try some Wasa bread with cream cheese. Those kinds of things affect some people and not others. You might also want to check out some journals to see what other people have for breakfast. No reason to stick with traditional breakfast foods, if you don't want to.

Default Wasa in the UK

From a Google search it looks like Wasa is available in the UK... you might be more familiar with the term "Swedish type (cracked bread), rye-based"... Well-known brands eg Ryvitta, Wasa, Verkade...

You'll want to check the carb counts because they do vary pretty wildly. Here in the US, the lowest Wasa carb wise is the Fiber Rye flavor, coming in with 5g of carbs per crisp bread, but others have as much as 10g .

Hope this helps,
Lisa
