Default Fat fast

When is the best time to begin the fat fast? I was following induction for 5 days and felt like it wasn't working at all, so I decided to start the fat fast (tomorrow). However, knowing I was planning to start this, I broke from the diet and ate plenty of carbs today!! Would it be best to go right into the fat fast tomorrow, or to go back to induction first? Please help??? I'm feeling a little depressed about it.
Thanks!!!

You really ought to give induction the full two weeks before you try anything as drastic as the fat fast. Dr. Atkins states that if you are not metabollically resistant the fat fast is dangerous. Fat fast is only to get you into ketosis if you cannot get there using induction.

I had to do two full weeks before I saw any weight loss. And I only lost 4 pounds during induction, but it was enough to get me started. I actually did a 3 week induction before I moved onto ongoing weight loss.

I don't think there is any perfect time to do a fat fast-but if you put those terms in the search (global icon above) you should get a lot of information. Or you can try going to atkinscenter.com

It is unfortunate that many people are under the impression this is a quick weight loss program. It is not.

Take your measurements and begin induction, again. You may lose inches without losing weight. Your body needs to adjust to eating lc - a fat fast on top of that does not sound healthy to me. Like quitting smoking, drinking, caffeine, sugar, bread and starting an exercise program all on the same day! One thing at a time.
