Post new cookbook

Just want everyone to know I want to put together a low carb cookbook. Will need original recipes form members. I want post them on a webpage for everyone to use. I know there are recipes on this site but they are scattered all over the place. Just thought it would be nice to have one web page dedicated to good cooking that all low-carbers could use.

Thumbs up Hi Sauceman

Ok I ain't no chef, but made this up myself.

Lamb Kofta Curry, serves 2

Minced Lamb 1lb
Fresh Corriander stems and leaves.
Onion 1/4 medium.
Salt.
Garlic clove.
1 medium egg white.
I slice red pepper.

Place garlic, onion and pepper in food processor, and add lamb, corriander, seasoning and egg white.

Create about 16 small meatballs, and place in fridge for a while.

Heat sunflower oil and brown the meatballs, remove and set a side on kitchen towel.

Meanwhile put a tablespoon or two of Olive Oil in pan and add

1/2 Onion sliced.
1/2 Pepper sliced.
Hand full of short cut Green Beans.
Garlic to taste.
2 teaspoons of Madras Curry Paste.
1/2 spoon splenda .
1/2 tin chopped tomatoes.
Salt

Soften and lightly brown the vegetables and add the lambballs and simmer untill the lambballs are hot through. (add water if required during cooking but keep the sauce relatively thick)

Add 2 tablespoons of double cream/creme fresh don't stir, right at the end just before serving with salad and lemon.

Serves 2 large portions
I have not got an exact carb count, but between two there can't be to much damage.

You can easily adapt the ingrediants to suit your tastes

Enjoy

Graeme

Graeme.

Default Hmmmm...

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't really agree that our recipes are scattered all over the place or are that difficult to find...

Plus, the are all sorts of other issues, like the fact that there are already hundreds of LC cookbooks out there and as many websites. Also, there are legal issues regarding taking information from various sources and publishing/marketing it without permission(s).

If some reorganization of the recipes section(s) is needed, it'll get done. So for now, I think I'll stick to sharing my recipes in the manner in which we have been and see what happens from there...

As you can tell from my screen name, I won't be much help on the recipe thing, but...

I have to agree that it's difficult to find recipes on this site. For me, it's not that they're scattered, but that I can't get the search function to work for me. Last week, I was looking for a pork chops recipe & no matter how I typed it in, I got tons of posts talking about pork rinds. I finally gave up & looked elsewhere.

Graeme, that recipe looks delish! I don't especially like lamb but it sounds like the ingrediets would work equally well on other meats. Thanks!
