Get an Americano. It's just a few shots of espresso with hot water. Add cream and it tastes exactly like a latte.

I like flavored coffee, and last Xmas my downfall was Starbucks' peppermint drinks. I ended up going off Atkins for a few months - couldn't stay away. Imagine my delight when I found peppermint flavored coffee at Wal Mart! I put it in the freezer and make iced peppermint coffee. (I also use chocolate almond and raspberry cream.) They're so sweet I won't crave chocolate or other goodies.

So many people advocate quitting coffee entirely, but it hasn't stalled me, and I couldn't do this WOE without it.

Get a tall latte breve (half and half) with a dash of sugar free vanilla. I have had this before and it is so rich that the tall size is enough. I have even had it and not been knocked out of ketosis!

Sugar free vanilla americano - and use the half and half as your lightener. Or if you want it a bit more rich, ask the barista if you can have a little of the liquid heavy cream they have behind the counter...

I do the americano with cream, sf vanilla and I add my own pkt of splenda. Yummy. I used to love the caramel frappiccino's but this is a pretty good substitute.

Great thread! I used to be a "tall, nonfat mocha" die-hard, but have since converted to the iced americano. Good idea to add some SF vanilla syrup--I'm going to try that next time I go!

Cappuccino has a lot more foam -- and therefore a lot less milk -- than a latte.

Default *moan* Starbucks... mmm

Today, I went to "The Buck", as we call it.

I had a Grande Iced Decaf Sumatra, with half & half and Sweet & Low.

Next time, will definitely bring my own Splenda and ask the barista for the heavy cream -- but man -- it was a beautiful thing.. and if anything, i'm deeper in ketosis today.

It had little to do with the coffee except psychosomatically ;-)
