I believe you read a post from me. The only information I found out about the South Beach Diet (SBD) was at http://www.prevention.com short of shelling out the $ for the book (I guess I could've also gone to the library for it). SBD allows you to add back gradually the "good" carbs, (i.e. fruit, legumes, low-fat cheeses, some grains, etc.) I'm pretty much at goal (I've been hanging out around 125 lbs. for five months - I am trying to determine if my body has found its ideal body weight short of goal or what???). So I decided what I wanted to do was to find a plan that let me add things back in that made sense to me, but I still wanted to stick with the main principles of Atkins. My sister who went through gestational diabetes with her last pregnancy has been very supportive of the Atkins WOL, but she kept wondering when I was going to add back beans into my diet. Obviously, I am not adding the SBD modifications to lose weight, since my weight has been lost. SBD is not low-carb per se, that's why you won't find much info. on the SBD at this forum. But, if you do a search of this forum, there are a few threads discussing the SBD, because some other posters were contemplating making a change to the SBD.
