Question Induction Loss Question!

Hey everybody! I have just started this WOL yesterday and so far so good! I realize that I am going to be eating this way for a long time but I do have a special engagement in 2 weeks. Just wondering but starting at 142lbs. how much can I expect to lose by then? Thanks for your replies! The forum is wonderful

Hi Megs!

Average weight loss during the 2 week induction period is about 10% of what you need to lose. This is just an average though. Some people will lose more and some will lose less.
If you really want to have the best success possible during induction, I'd suggest doing it by the book and avoiding low carb "treats" and artificial sweeteners. Keep it simple, stick with whole natural foods (no fake foods, bars, etc...) and drink plenty of water.
I wish you the best of success!

I actually have another question to tag along to this one...
I ate quite a bit of meat today and my carb count is below 20 but I just can not possibly put one more thing in my mouth! Is that alright to be below the recommended #??

Smile re; losing weight fast

Hi Megs - Welcome to this WOE and this cool forum. Lisa is right about the 10% rule. I've been on the plan for 4 weeks now and although I lost an intial 6 lbs in the first week, I then gained a little back and now am on a very slow weight loss. BUT I am losing inches which is really even better. I would not get too hopeful about losing it fast for your upcoming engagement. As you rightly said, you need to be in it for the long haul. When you have a relatively small amount to lose, it tends to come off pretty slowly. This forum is full of so many great ideas and good support. I think it's the main reason I've been able to stick with it - NO SUGAR FOR 4 WEEKS! WOOO - HOOO! Waldorfmom
