I know this is overdue. I've been wanting to start an exercise program for the longest time. I need advice on how to proceed.
I really want to start slow. I don't want to overdo or get too ambitious. The reason is I want to make it as easy to stick to a program as possible.
Here is my exercise background:
For the past 4 years, I have been an on-again, off-again gym visitor. I would do medium cardio for 30 minutes, and then do various weight machines. I would do this about 3 times a week.
I used to walk as well, 3 to 4 times a week - briskly for approx 30 minutes. I haven't done this since I started LCing. I've been focusing on my diet, but not on exercise. It's time I started.
Now, please folks, don't give me to much information.
I do not have a membership to a gym. I want to do some upper body weights from home if possible, using my own body as resistance. Also, I want to start walking again.
So, what I would like is upper body suggestions. (My arms are flabby, and this bothers me most.) This would be a good starting point for me.
I will also start a gym log as soon as I establish a program I can easily stick to.
Please help!!!
